Historical Note
The information between the NBA & Lone Gold are disputed. The NBA has this team on record as the original Hornets from 1988-2002. Thus, they are considered a franchise that suspended its operations when they left Charlotte. However, the Hornets franchise moved to New Orleans in 2002 and the Hornets name was returned to Charlotte in the 2013-2014 season and put back in use the following season.
